Alan Burke CA
Alan trained as a Chartered Accountant in the Edinburgh and London offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers and qualified in 1988. He later worked for Volvo and Schlumberger before working overseas on a number of aid projects for the European Union. Alan’s career has taken him as far afield as East Asia and Africa where he ran his own travel business. He returned to Edinburgh in 2007 and set-up Bolland & Burke.
Alan has considerable experience of working with fast growth businesses and advising them on the challenges and opportunities that they face. He is experienced in managing the tax affairs for individuals and companies and planning the most effective tax strategies for clients.
Alan is a keen football fan and cyclist and has a passion for travel.
Iain Bolland CA
Iain qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 with one of the ‘Big Four’. Thereafter he spent a large part of his career working at director level for a number of media related businesses notably in the video distribution and cable industries. Latterly Iain spent 6 years at a tv and broadband start-up as it grew to be a market leader in its sector. Iain is also an investor in a number of start-up businesses.
Iain specialises in advising owner managed business. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the issues affecting businesses at all stages of their life cycle.
A keen music lover and cyclist Iain also plays a mean game of short hole golf on Bruntsfield Links.
